"I created 'Murky Love' with The Invisible's Dave Okumu for our brand new TRAUMTAPE, Sam este tells Rolling Stone. "The tape is a physical mixtape made up of new exclusive and collaborative material by a number of talented artists."
Artist: Cloud Room (Facebook) Song: "Mrs. Marquis de Sade" Album: You Be My Heart
"I had a been in a bit of a songwriting lull around the time I penned this song, and if I remember correctly, it was The Killers' 'Read My Mind' which prompted me to pick the pen back up again," Devon Reed tells Rolling Stone. "That song just turned into one of those earmites I couldn't get rid of, and sometimes I find the only way to get a song unstuck from my head is to put together some sort of musical response to it. I was thrilled when The Cloud Room opted to record the song, since I'd been a fan of theirs for a while and thought they were a perfect fit for it."
While I admit I'm not as big of a candy corn freak as I was as a child, I still like it. If I see a bowl, I will dip my hand in and enjoy a handful. And although they don't taste all that delicious, there are plenty of good things to say about them.
1. They are geometrically pleasing.
2. They are just the right size for hiding inside a Bugle.
3. They have less sugar than a raisin!
4 They taste better than candy lipstick.
5. In order to make candy corn, sugar, corn syrup and other ingredients are cooked into a slurry in large kettles. "Slurry" is fun to say. (Have you heard the song "Slurry with the fringe on top"?)
If you've still not ready to join the Candy Corn Lovers of America just yet, the folks at Buzzfeed have come up with a few more reasons. Caution--this video just might bring a tear to your eye.
Meet Moon Taxi, a band formed by a pair of friends from high school, and now based in Nashville.
The band’s debut jam-rock album, “ Melodica” came out in 2007, leading to lots of touring and festival slots like 10,000 Lakes Festival in Minnesota. A live album followed, and JamBase called Live Ride “a prime intro to this vibrant group who incorporates roots-rhythms, Latin-ismo, Phishy riffs, complex fusion and gutbucket, blue collar rock into a pretty enjoyable ball they hurl with serious gusto.”
The newest release, “ Mountains Beaches Cities” is their first to come out on vinyl and is a more straight forward rock album, as this sample of the single “ The New Black” indicates.

Artist: Jamie Kent (Facebook) Song: "Broke, Not Broken" Album: Embers & Ashes
"I would be lying if I said 'Broke, Not Broken' wasn't inspired a bit by my life," Jamie Kent tells Rolling Stone. "That said, I wrote this as sort of an anthem to anyone chasing down their dream every day. I wanted to let people know that there's plenty of us out there, and we can all help each other take things to the next level."
This Swedish dance pop trio, comprised of a psychiatric nurse and 2 producers is getting quite the buzz! You might have heard their song in an international TV campaign for Samsung or their radio commercials for Sparkling Ice.
Not bad for a group whose debut album hasn’t even be released yet! If the reactions to their live shows are any indication, Nonono will be around for years to come!
This is the video of their hit, Pumpin’ Blood.
Look for the debut album on Black Friday, November 29

Today we featured songs from the year 1986. It was the year the Bears won the Super Bowl, Ferris Bueller's Day Off was in theatres and we all grabbed each other's hands for Hands Across America. Here were some of the songs of 1986:
Critics have been saying some good things about the new biographical Jimi Hendrix movie that's debuting at SXSW later this month.

"Move it in, move it out, move it in roundabout, Disco Lady!"
Those lyrics were just a little too suggestive to Kitty back in 1976 when this song was a hit. But lots of folks appeared to be in a disco mood this morning when we played that number one...
I made jambalaya for supper last night--today I think I'll celebrate Mardi Gras with my favorite Louisiana export, Sonny Landreth!
I've had a chance to see Sonny around a dozen times, and he never fails to impress. When he opened Eric...
To get through the Monday Blues, you're going to need something extraordinary (what makes the difference is that little extra), and here it is: Neon Trees' latest Sleeping With a Friend (slightly off-putting title insanely awesome jam!)
You may have driven by that seemingly rundown brick building on East Washington Avenue hundreds of times, but you probably never got to go behind the scenes at the iconic recording studio that brought us so much great music in the 1990s.
What are you doing Sunday March 9th? Why not spend the afternoon supporting a great cause, and enjoying some fantastic music?
It's a benefit for the family of a young Madison girl, Anna Mischnick, who is battling brain cancer.
The event goes...
Coldplay is supposedly working on a new album to follow their 2011 release, Milo Xyloto. But we don't have to wait until that album comes out, whenever that will be, to hear a new song.
This week the band debuted the song "Midnight" on their...
