Pinnacle Indoor Triathlon Series


When: February 19, March 19
Where: Fitchburg, WI

Description: This is a beginner friendly event featuring a 10 minute swim, 20 minute bike, and 10 minute run.  The Pinnacle Indoor Triathlon Series is back for its third year.  The indoor triathlon series is perfect for anyone at any level.  $15/event, $50/series.  First wave starts at 5:30pm, with waves every 30 minutes after. Sign up for one event or the entire series.

2010 Shamrock Shuffle


When: March 14Featured Race
Where: Overture Center, Madison

Description: Support The Boys & Girls Club of Dane County with this 5K/10K Run and 2 mile walk.  Registration is inside Overture Center.  The festivities begin at 10am.  Irish tunes at Start and Finish, bagpipers along the course.  Costumed participants welcome!  Registration costs: $25-$35.

Feed the Need - Spring Century Ride


When: April 17
Where: Southwest Wisconsin- Blackhawk Lake Recreational Area

Description: This event is being put on to help support the Food Banks of Southwest Wisconsin through Second Harvest and the SWCAP program. Monies raised will go to help support the banks depleted from the great need over the winter months. At the same time it is to welcome in the new year of cycling with routes for all ages and abilities.  Giving Rider cost is $75, Fundraising Rider cost is $25.  Event is from 7am until 6pm.  There are 4 mi, 12 mi, 44 mi, 100 k, 130 k, 100 mi routes.

2010 Wisconsin Bike Summit

Where: Madison Concourse Hotel

Description: Mark your calendar and plan to attend this year's Wisconsin Bike Summit! Last year our exciting Summit brought together over 450 bike enthusiasts from around the state. Lake Monona 20k Run



When: May 1
Where: Winnequah Park, Monona

Description: The race offers a beautiful course with springtime temperatures often ideal for running [though it has been known to snow, to rain or to be hot and humid - this is Wisconsin springtime, after all!], and lots of runners to share the experience. For those with longer distance ambitions, it is a traditional way to peak your training for the 20 mile Syttende Mai Run two weeks later, or to prepare for summer marathons.  Early bird discount through March 31: $25.  $30 through April 31.  Day of registration is $35.  9am race start.

Description: Following in the footsteps of many other famous “mud” events, the Madison Mud Run is a challenging 4.6 mile run with hills, water crossings, tire obstacles, 5 foot wall climbs, tunnel crawls, inflatable obstacles and the famous “mud pit”. “Madison’s Dirtiest Race” is the most fun you can have running almost 5 miles.  How “tough” is it?  It is as tough as you want it to be.  The course is designed for everyone.  Registration through April 15: $30, through May 5: $35, race day: $40.  Register for both mud runs and save $15.

3rd Annual Jodi Lou Lung Cancer 5K Run/Walk


When: June 12
Where: Oak Bank: 5951 McKee Rd/ Hwy PD, Fitchburg

Description: All proceeds will go to the Jodi Lou Lung Cancer Foundation, Inc., in supporting lung cancer research at the UW - Paul P. Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center.  In 2009, more than 325 participants raised over $30,000 for the Jodi Lou Fund and the UW Carbone Cancer Center.    Registration is at 8am, race starts at 9am.  Walk-ins welcome.

Trek 100: A Ride For Hope

Where: Waterloo, WI

Description: Today, up to 80% of children with cancer can be cured. But cancer still remains the leading disease-related cause of death in children. Help us continue the battle against childhood cancer and related blood disorders during the 21st Annual Trek 100 Ride for Hope!  The ride starts at 7:30am with a post-ride celebration complete with refreshments and entertainment.

High Cliff Half Iron/Sprint Triathlon

Where: High Cliff State Park

Description: The 7th Annual High Cliff Triathlon, June 19, 2010  is now open with an early bird fee you just can't beat! This year, instead of team discounts over the next few months, they will extend the low fee of $40 (Sprint) and $85 (Half) to everyone.  The events take place at High Cliff State Park.  Distance choices include: Half - 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run.  Sprint- 1/4 mile swim, 22 mile bike, 5K run.

GReat Annual Bicycle Adventure Along the Wisconsin River


When: June 19-26
Where: GRABAAWR starts: at the head-waters of Wisconsin River, near the border of Upper Michigan.

Description: GRABAAWR covers seven days of cycling - an average of 70 miles per day. Daily distances range from 55 miles to 85 miles. There is also is an optional century. You will experience a combination of rolling hills, flats and a few challenging hills along the way. The tour is limited to 1000 cyclists.  the route follows the 427-mile length of the river as it winds through the northwoods, the central sands area and Wisconsin's Dairyland.

The Bike Northwoods Tour


When: July 10-16
Where: Starts/Finishes: St. Criox Falls.  Overnight in Turtle Lake, Rice Lake, Hayward, Spooner and Siren

Description: Enjoy a smaller tour with great staff and tons of fun!  The route follows quiet bike-friendly backroads in Wisconsin and the out-of the way places that are wonderful to visit from the seat of your bike. The tour is a more personal and intimate journey through a different region of Wisconsin each year. The size of the tour is limited.   6 days of cycling with an average of about 45 - 60 miles per day. Many of the days will have various mileage options. The tour is limited to 400 cyclists.  Intermediate cycling ability level.

Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour

Where: Mequon to Sturgeon Bay

Description: Join hundreds of others to support the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.  Rest stops every 10 to 15 miles, with beverages, snacks, toilets and first-aid .  A celebration party in Manitowoc on Saturday evening with great food, live music and awesome raffle prizes. This year's celebration party will feature two live bands! Race starts at 7:30am.

Schramm's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Wisconsin
