Craft Beer Week: Kitty's Picks

April 28-May 7, 2017

April 24, 2017

It's the most beer-ti-ful time of the year!  Craft Beer Week is upon us, with bars, liquor stores, restaurants and more celebrating the hoppy and not-so-hoppy stuff.

Here's my list of Craft Beer Week picks.  I'm getting thirsty already.

Napalm Bunny Release, Friday April 28th from 5pm-8pm at Waypoint Public House. Be one of the first to try Ale Asylum's new imperial version of Velveteen Habit, which will no doubt be delicious. I already know it's one of the best beer names ever.

Beer-muda Triangle Bike Ride, Saturday April 29th from 11am-2pm. A 3-hour tour of Madison's east side breweries, Next Door, Alt Brewing, and One Barrel. Island attire is recommended. Hopefully you won't disappear and never be seen again.

5 Beers for 5 Bucks, Monday May 1 at the Old Fashioned. They'll be clearing out some of their old stock, and you get a great deal. Most of the beers are delicious--some are just weird. I went to this event a couple years ago and it was quite fun.

Almost Hommme, Wednesday May 3rd at the Plaza from 11am to close. Another chance for you to try Triple M's new beer from Octopi Brewing. It's a yummy pale ale, and proceeds benefit The Road Home, helping homeless families in Dane County.

National Star Wars Day, May 4th at Texas Tubs Taco Palace, 4-10pm. House of Brews and Dead Bird Brewing will be serving up new beers Yub Nub Ewok Celebration Ale, Double Bladed IPA,Uncle Owen's Toasted Farmhouse Ale and Vaderweizen.

Beerfest Movie and Beer Pong Tournament, May 5th at Breese Stevens Field. The movie "Beerfest" will be playing on the big screen, beer pong will be happening, and One Barrel Beer will be flowing from the taps.
