You Could Own a George Harrison Turntable! Fab!

February 23, 2017

George Harrison would have turned 74 this month, and in honor of that, his estate is re-releasing all George's solo albums on 180-gram vinyl.

You can also buy a special limited edition George Harrison turntable. It will cost you, but superfans won't mind because sales are limited to just 2500 worldwide. George's website lists it for £429.00, which converts to around $538 US. It's made by Pro-Ject and has an Ortofon cartridge so it should be good quality.

The box set is also a bit spendy--466.98 on Amazon. So if you have just a few favorite George albums, you may want to buy them individually. Personally, I would recommend All Things Must Pass, Living in the Material World, Cloud Nine, Live in Japan and Brainwashed.

The box set also includes two picture disc singles of ‘When We Was Fab’ and ‘Got My Mind Set On You, which are not available separately.

Back in my early days as a Beatle fan, I read George's autobiography, I Me Mine. That's also being updated and re-released with some never before published material.
