105.5 Triple M presents: Madison Day 2008
Remember O'Cayz Corral? What about Club de Wash? Or Bunky's?
In preparation for Madison Day on May 15, Jonathan and Kitty took a trip down memory lane--literally--to celebrate all the great history of Madison's music scene. Join us on an entertaining (and of course educational) tour of Madison's musical past. The hilarity ensues below.
Madison's music scene is thriving--We even have our own awards! The Madison Area Music Awards (MAMAs for short) are held every spring and honor the efforts of local musicians.Click here to see this year’s winners!
This award show, along with the many other initiatives of MAMA, Inc. throughout the year, raises money to foster the next generation of musicians by helping fund youth music programs and by putting instruments in the hands of kids who might not otherwise have them. Their focus is on the public school system but their charter is not limited to specifically that. The objective is to keep the fundamentals of music available for our youth and to promote that cause.

It wasn't just luck that got her there. She was being recognized for the non-profit organization she founded called The Sewing Machine Project.
