New Music: The Shins, COIN, and More

This week brought us some solid new tunes, and you can check ‘em out below.

First, we’ve got The Shins’ newest single, “Mildenhall.” It’ll have you embracing Flashback Friday with all the nostalgia it conjures. The lyric video is simplistic in a Wes Anderson-kinda way, while the lyrics themselves are reminiscent of childhood days as a military brat. The track will be featured on the upcoming album, Heartworms, which will be out next month.

Next up is COIN. You may recognize the band from their 2016 single “Talk Too Much,” but out this week is their latest: “I Don’t Wanna Dance.” COIN may not know how to dance with you, but they do know how to write a catchy hook.

Other albums out today include: Ryan Adams’ Prisoner, Animal Collective’s The Painters, and Jens Lekman's Life Will See You Now.
