Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love’s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, was chosen by designer Marc Jacobs as the face of his spring/summer ad campaign. The twenty-four-year-old was flattered that Jacobs had her in mind, stating, "I wouldn’t have done it with anyone other than Marc." While she gladly accepted his offer, she clarified, “I don’t think I’ll be modeling for anybody else for a very long time—this is 100 percent outside my comfort zone.” You wouldn’t know it by looking at the incredible first campaign image of Cobain shared by Marc Jacobs below.

As for her parents’ signature grunge style, Cobain told Vogue she’s not so into it. In fact, she pointed out the irony of it all, stating, “I find it interesting where grunge originated from, and then where it was taken, which was high fashion. My dad was so poor that they kept going to Goodwill to get donated ripped jeans. It wasn’t a fashion decision; it was an ‘I don’t have any money, I have no other choice’ type of decision.” Whatever the reason, they pulled it off well, and Frances is sure to do the same in anything Marc Jacobs.
