World's Worst iPod: Mocedades "Eres Tu"
The pop chart included a little Spanish spice back in 1974, when Mocedades had a hit with the song "Eres Tu."

It was a hit worldwide, and made it to #9 in los Estados Unidos.

I always loved this song because I was so proud of myself when I was able to translate it without looking up any words in an English Spanish dictionary.!

The B-side was the song in English. The lyrics are not a word for word translation. I remember enough of my 8 1/2 years of Spanish to recognize that!

World's Worst iPod: Was (Not Was) Walk the Dinosaur
Weren't the 80s silly?

I don't think anyone would say that Walk the Dinosaur is a great song, but it does convey a sense of happiness that you can only get from that decade's radio classics.

This song went to #7 in 1987, and it seems everybody wanted to hear it this morning.  So okay--do the dinosaur. We won't tell anyone.

World's Worst iPod: Franki Valli "My Eyes Adored You"
Franki Valli and the 4 Seasons originally recorded "My Eyes Adored You," but the record company wouldn't release it. So that smartypants with the high voice got the rights to the song and recorded a solo version.

It went all the way to number 1 in 1975.

It was way too easy listening for Kitty back in the day, but of course Jonathan loved it. He even had the 45. Hey, don't judge.

World's Worst iPod:Escape Club "Wild Wild West"
Remember when we were headed for the 90s..and grooving to the Escape Club? This band from London scored a number 1 hit in 1988 with the song "Wild Wild West." It's probably the only song you remember from that band--but they weren't a...

World's Worst iPod: Wayne Newton "Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast"
With Father's Day coming up, we thought we'd choose one of the greatest dad songs of all time.  But since that song wasn't on the iPod, we decided to go with "Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast" by Wayne Newton. This song made...

Day 4: The Final Day of Bonnaroo
Today was another busy day at Bonnaroo. We started the day off by seeing Shakey Graves. I missed his show in Madison earlier this year so he was a must see on my list. Loved him! Right as he ended, a press conference with Ed Helms, Abigail...

Day 3: Saturday
Saturday was a very busy day! So many Triple M bands to see! So many concerts were back to back, so we did a lot of walking back and forth from the stages to the media compound. If you're ever in need of getting more steps in during the day,...

Day 2: Friday - Variety, the Spice of Life
Day 2 is upon us! Despite being up fairly late and not sleeping super well (first time camping...I'll get used to it I'm sure), I was hoping to sleep in just a little bit, but my body had other plans. It woke me up at 5:45am for the hell of it. I...

World's Worst iPod: Engelbert Humperdinck "After the Lovin'"
One of the great things about radio in the 60s and 70s is the variety of music that made it onto the radio.  A rock song by Led Zeppelin could be followed up by Paul Anka or Andy Williams. A polka could make it to top 40 right alongside a disco song...

5 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Breese Stevens Field
With the big concert with the Avett Brothers and Brett Dennen coming up at Breese Stevens Field in October, I did a little digging to find out more about the facility that was just put on the National Register of Historic Places last year. 1. I always...
