World's Worst iPod

It's back! Every morning at 7:15, we play songs from the horrible iPod Kitty found while dumpster diving.

World's Worst iPod: My Melody of Love

Bobby Vinton's nickname is the Polish prince, so it's only fitting that one of his biggest hits includes some Polish lyrics.

It's hard to believe that a polka made it up to #3 on the charts in 1974, the same year we had hits like "Jet" from Paul McCartney and Wings, and "The Joker" from the Steve Miller Band.

At the age of 77, Vinton still plays live shows, mostly at casinos. He was at the Northern Lights Theatre at the Potawatomi Casino earlier this year, and already has a gig on Valentine's Day of 2013.

It's just down the road at the Paramount Theatre in Aurora, Illinois, if you're interested.  In the meantime, grab yourself a piwo (Polish for beer)  and some kielbasa, and enjoy his dulcet tones.

World's Worst iPod: Torn Between Two Lovers by Mary MacGregor
Today's song was written by Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary. It was inspired by the 1957 novel Doctor Zhivago. No one was inspired by the song this morning. It was rejected by almost all the listeners.

World's Worst iPod: Funky Cold Medina by Tone Loc

World's Worst iPod: It's a Miracle by Barry Manilow
It's a miracle that both Jonathan and KItty wanted to hear Barry Manilow this morning. They were not alone. Plenty of Fanilow's called in to vote yes. One caller claimed to have seen Manilow in concert 25 times!
A Fine Monday Afternoon
The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, it is another gorgeous Monday, fit for another great show at the Crystal Corner tonight. Through locking ourselves in the barn on Irish Lane, tossing some ideas around, as well as a few choice beverages to...
