What does Jonathan have to say?

Why I'm Afraid of Cardinals

As a Bears fan, I’m terrified about a game coming up soon.  No, it’s not the one against the Packers this Sunday.  It’s actually the game the week after.  The Bears are in Arizona to face the Cardinals.  You may wonder why I’d be concerned about that game.  After all, the Cardinals are having a bad season.  This past Sunday they lost to the Seattle Seahawks 58 to 0.  Yes, you read that correctly.  The Arizona Cardinals lost 58 to 0.  The Cardinals coach started his post game news conference by apologizing to the fans and every associated with the organization.

So what’s the problem?

Any given Sunday.

That’s an expression used in the NFL to describe how any team can beat any other team on any given Sunday.  It’s true.  Remember when the Packers perfect regular season was derailed by the Kansas City Chiefs?

Living here behind the Cheddar Curtain means I got a lot of ribbing as a Bears fan.  This week the Packers are favored to beat the Bears and people around town will make fun of me if it happens.  However, that will be nothing if the Bears lose to the lowly Cardinals the next week.

World's Worst iPod: Harper Valley PTA
In 1968, Jeannie C. Riley topped both the pop and country charts with "Harper Valley PTA". She was the first female singer to accomplish that feat and it wasn't repeated until Dolly Parton did it in 1981 with the song "9 to 5". The song was...

Here To Help
One small detail I like about Bonnaroo ... the security people's shirts say "Safety" and "Here to help". They seem well-trained and they do the things security folk do ... but I like the emphasis on safety and that they're doing these things...
