When a book is not enough: Hunger Games Explosion!

I was wandering around Target the other day (as I often do) when I strolled into the book department. I saw their display of Hunger Games books and DVDs....and a whole lot more.
I read all three Hunger Games books a year or so ago and loved them, and also enjoyed the movie immensely when it came out last year. But I had no idea how many ways I could embrace the whole franchise. At Target, they had bookmarks, a Mockingjay pin, a card game and a board game. Really, is all that stuff needed?
Apparently that was just the tip of the iceberg. I went online today and found a few more items:
Hunger Games Barbie
Journals (various to choose from)
Blanket
Magnetic story kit
Decorative light bulbs
Key chain
Pita and Katniss dog tags
Training Shirt
T-shirt
Nylon sack
Book light
Trading Cards
Board Game
Earbuds
And last but not least--a lifesize cardboard cutout of Gale. Suitable for ages 5 and up!
In case you're not familiar with the book or movie, the main character is a tough young lady who's great with a bow and arrow. She lives in a future society in which the United States is divided up into 12 districts and each year one boy and one girl from each district have to fight to the death on live TV. There's also a love triangle story thrown in there for good measure.
Is this the kind of things kids should be play-acting with? Reliving the violent scenarios on the fridge with their magnetic child-warriors?
The only thing they don't seem to offer is a workable bow and arrow or other weapons that would make it easy for kids stage their own neighborhood Hunger Games. It would be a great way to get rid of the loser kids that live on the other side of the block.
You know, as I browse the Hunger Games items, I really do want one of those Mockingjay pins. It would look great on my post-apocolyptic Hunger Games nightgown
