Tiger Woods has lost a lot of his endorsements because of his hanky panky with women. Nike hasn't given up on Tiger, but that means they still have to run ads with him. Here's their latest:
The voice is Tiger's late dad, Earl. Obviously Tiger's dad is not talking about extramarital affairs, but somehow it still works. I don't know if Tiger is really remorseful, but it sure looks like it.
It's kinda scary that Tiger can get himself in a horrible mess and then the advertising wizards can make his rise from the ashes look cool. I honestly like the ad and think it does give you the feeling Tiger needs to step back and really think about why he did what he did and how he can improve himself.
I don't know how Earl Woods would feel about this ad campaign. I could see him frowning that a quote, which was probably about making a mistake in golf, is being used for something totally different. Then again I could see him smiling that his words may help his son get out of a rough that's nowhere near the golf course.
