I admit it. I am a vampire fan. But not Twilight-type vampires, the rock and roll type... Vampire Weekend.
I first heard of them a few year ago when their self-titled album was released. I mean, how can you NOT like a band with songs like " Blake's Got a New Face" , "A-Punk" " Cape Cod Kwasa Kwasa" and " Mansard Roof". I call this kind of music Geek Rock, in a very loving way. I inclulde them in that group with They Might Be Giants and Barenaked Ladies. There's nothing like a clever song.
It's been a while since we've heard from them, but the wait is almost over. Contra will be released January 12, but you can download the single now at itunes!
