The next you think you've experienced a major ordeal because you got caught in bad traffic or you were stuck sitting in a plane waiting to take-off for 45 minutes, say this to yourself:
Ryan Hunter Harris.
Who?
Ryan Hunter Harris. He's a 19-year-old fisherman who was stuck in a 4 by 4 plastic fish crate for 24 hours at sea! He was fishing another man when bad weather knocked them out of their boat. The second fisherman found a survival suit in the water and was able to float. Meanwhile, Harris was floating away in the crate. The other man was found first by rescue crews and he directed them to Harris.
Harris told authorities he kept singing songs like "Row Row Row Your Boat" and "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" to stay focused. He also kept saying to himself, "I'm Ryan Hunter Harris and I'm not going to die here."
So the next time you get really angry because you have to wait in a long line to buy groceries, try to have a little more patience and remember Ryan Hunter Harris.
