Loosen up. That’s what I have to say to Republicans who are upset one of their own went skinny dipping in the Sea of Galilee in Israel. The story about Congressman Kevin Yoder was first reported by Politico.
Apparently a group of Republicans were in Israel last summer meeting with both Israeli and Palestinian officials. Late night the Republican group had a few cocktails and went swimming in the spot where the Bible says Jesus walked on water.
According to the story, Yoder jumped into the water wearing his birthday suit. Big deal. His wife was even there!
Not only has he had to apologize to his constituents and colleagues for embarrassing them, but the FBI is looking into the matter. Really?!
Has no one in Congress ever gone to overnight camp? It’s not like he walked into the Knesset totally nude and starting telling bad Israeli and Palestinian jokes.
