The Caption Contest Coasts

Was that your lawn I heard this morning breathing a small sigh of relief?  Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain. Meanwhile, as we wait for MORE rain, which probably won't come, we always have the Caption Contest!

Please give me your best caption to this photo. REMEMBER TO USE YOUR NAME IN THE SUBJECT LINE TO GET CREDIT AND WIN A PRIZE OR THREE. Your deadline is Friday at 4 PM.

Have fun, be creative and, as always, play nice.

Since we didn’t get high-speed rail, I decided to build my own gravity-driven roller skate rail line from Madison to Milwaukee. Unfortunately, I got so caught up in making cool loops and drops that I ran out of track and never made it past Sun Prairie.

World's Worst iPod: Hall & Oates "Method of Modern Love"
Hall & Oates had a lot of great hits in the 1970s and 1980s, and if you believe a lot of folks, this is NOT one of them! This song with its amazing spelling lesson hook made it all the way to #5 on the charts in February of 1985. We're a little...

Olivia Newton-John was all over the radio in the 1970s, with hits that included "Have You Never Been Mellow," "If You Love Me (Let Me Know)" and of course those songs from the movie "Grease." But not a lot of people had good memories about "Please...

Mayflies: faschinating, or horrifying? You decide.
The mayflies were out in full force over the past couple days. Now I've heard about these insects over the years, but have never experienced a mayfly swarm. I think I'm pretty happy about that. Apparently the mayflies were so thick they...
