I have so much to say, I hardly know where to start!!
Since my last blog I left you with this. We went to see The Knux. I'm sure you haven't heard of them yet, but just you wait...they are great! Two brothers from New Orleans currently living in Las Vegas. Got their first record deal in, I believe, 2008 and they are INCREDIBLE!! Like I said, you don't need to know the words to jam to their tunes. After the show I hooked up with them and basically praised their work, which they were grateful for. They said that they try so hard...they go from festival to festival and just feel like they're giving their all but not feelin' the love (my words, not theirs..but you get the jist). This was a great introduction to the world of "meeting the artists". This is all so new to me, I have to confess I'm a little nervous.
Today we woke up after a LONG night of sleeping completely drenched head to toe. It poured and poured last night. Again, tornado watch/warnings. Ugh. But, we made it through and decided to exchange our small tent with our big honkin' tent. Thank god our neighbors didn't mind. FYI - we have the BEST neighbors!! They made us breakfast and everything!
Okay, I've gotten sidetracked. So after drying out and heading out we hit a press conference starring Bon Iver and Lucinda Williams. It was incredible! They're a bunch of comedians. After the guy that runs the show ran through his questions we all had a chance to hang. Again, I actually got the guts up to talk with Justin Vernon (Bon Iver). What a great guy. Very sweet and soft spoken. I gave him the run down of how I know people that know him and I lived in Eau Claire, etc, etc. How I was so appreciative to have been introduced to his music. It was very nice to meet him. However, I have a couple of comments. After I started to talk with him another chick came up to him (I apologize, but I don't recall who she was) but he was totally hitting on her. He brushed me off to proceed to get her email and phone number. I tell you what. I was holding my ground. I was there to talk to him and that's what I was going to do. So, I waited patiently for them to complete their phone number exchange and completed my conversation. It's okay...maybe if I were famous it would've turned out differently. haha...
And that brings me to current. We are preparing to see Beastie Boys and Phish tonight. Before that I think we'll hit a little silent disco. At this point, anything to get out of the sun is perfect!! It hot and humid here!! We ain't in Wisconsin anymore, my friends.
Thanks for following! Talk with ya'll tomorrow (that's how they say it in Tennessee).

Today we traveled back to 1975 for a Rendezvous with The Hudson Brothers. This song didn't make it to high on the charts, but Kitty enjoyed it. Her favorite brother was Brett. She also loved their television show. We've included a skit from...
I'm not sure why Pete Yorn decided to name his new music project after a European cave dwelling aquatic salamander, but if he stops by to play us some songs in Studio M, we'll have to ask him.

Today's song was written by Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary. It was inspired by the 1957 novel Doctor Zhivago. No one was inspired by the song this morning. It was rejected by almost all the listeners.
Today is World Goth Day, a day to celebrate the post-punk, anti-establishment, dark clothes-wearing subculture.
I'm pretty sure I was a Goth for at least for little while, for two reasons.
1) I almost hardly ever wear pastels.
2) I used to...
Hello to all from Nfusion. Another round of challenges has moved beyond us all. Congrats to those of us lucky enough to have survived to this point. Sad to see the others eliminated as they were all very creative and talented. Good Bye to our new friends...
This morning it seemed like just about everyone was in the mood for some Funky Cold Medina...except Kitty. This ridiculous song made it all the way to number 3 in 1989. Jonathan says any song that references advertising dogs from the 80's has got...
