What does Kitty have to say?

So I guess I need a new car

You may have heard Jonathan telling me that I need an automotive intervention. Yes, my car is kinda old. And it has what I'd like to call "quirks." Yes, I can't open the passenger door from the outside. The defrost only works on half the rear window, and the rear windshield wiper no longer wipes.  The radio doesn't light up at night (it used to light up all the time, even when the car was off, which was strange). And the passenger seat is rusted in place. Oh yeah..sometimes the driver's side door doesn't open so I have to crawl in through the back. I'm sure some surveillance camera somewhere has footage of that, and it's hilarious! Maybe it is time to upgrade. The last car I bought was when Bill Clinton was still president. Okay...I guess it's time to start looking! Jonathan suggests Zimbrick Eastside, so I'm going to go check them out. I've already started to think about what features I'd like. Definitely automatic.. with air conditioning, a nice stereo, and cup holders that are big enough to hold a large soda from a convenience store. Jonathan's cars have seat warmers..so that would be awesome on cold winter mornings when I drive to work. And I'm pretty sure I'd like a vehicle with doors that open..from the inside, and outside.

Kitty, As you are a woman of a certain age, consider seats with the cooling option. Terry

Hey Kitty, just make sure you get a four wheel vehicle. You live in Wisconsin and everyone should have four wheel drive. Cuts right through the snow banks and you guys got a ton of snow this year. Get a nice blue car, that is my favorite color besidespink but a pink car would be just plain weird. DBD

Kitty, I'm right there with you...still driving my own quirky car, a '96 Ford Taurus wagon with 192,061 miles on it. Traded my Honda civic in for it back in the Clinton era so I'd have more space for hauling my daughter's stuff back and forth from college at the UW. She's since graduated and moved on but the clunker still keeps chugging along. From what I can tell listening to you and Jonothan on my morning commutes, we agree on just about everything. So I'm gonna let you do the car shopping and pick whatever you decide to go with. (hint: a hybred would be a good choice)

Have you heard the song "Rumble and Sway" yet on Triple M? The singer sounds like a raspy blues dude who's definitely been around the block a few times....but surprisingly, Jamie N. Commons is only 23 years old! He was born in England, but...

New food of the week: Kale
Last week, I decided I would try one new, healthy food a week, and asked my facebook friends to make some suggestions. The first thing I tried was mango. I'm sure I've had other mango flavored things, and mango as part of something else, but...

World's Worst iPod: You Don't Bring Me Flowers
There's only one thing that might be worse than the Neil Diamond/Barbra Streisand duet "You Don't Bring Me Flowers." And that's Jonathan Suttin doing his best crooning...doing both parts. Most unpleasant. A lot of people liked this song...

Getting It Tight
Last weeks challenge we thought went excellent! Of course we are a little biased. The drinking song couldn't have been any better, or any less fun. We had a blast through out the whole process, and our performance rocked. This week is an easy...

World's Worst iPod: The Girl is Mine by Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney
So the story goes Michael Jackson completed this song while watching cartoons with Paul McCartney. We'll just let that sink in for a moment. Not sure what cartoons they were watching, but it must have worked because this song made it to number 2...

World's Worst iPod: Somethin' Stupid by Frank and Nancy Sinatra
This duet by Ol' Blue Eyes and his daughter went all the way to number 1 back in 1967. It seems a little creepy that Frank and Nancy Sinatra are singing a love song. However, a lot of Triple M listeners were in the mood for it. Here's...
