Halloween tends to make me nostalgic..thinking back to the good old days when you could just walk from house to house and demand candy. It also has me feeling a little misty eyed about a very scary program I used to watch when I was a kid.
Yes, I was one of those children who raced home from school every day to watch the TV soap opera "Dark Shadows." I probably didn't really even know what was going on that much..but I liked vampires and werewolves..and besides, my older brother and his friends liked it, so it must have been good!
I still have the Dark Shadows View Master reel I got when I was a kid, but since then I've added to my Dark Shadows collection. I not only have the Dark Shadows game (basically Hangman with genuine imitation bones to put on the hangman's noose), a Dark Shadows LP, and a couple Dark Shadows novels. But I never had this awesomely awesome momento..a Dark Shadows pillow.
They're not quite as cuddly as the modern day Pillow Pet, are they?
