I've never fully understood why so many people line up at 5am on the day after Thanksgiving to get a "good" deal on a telelvision or video game. It never really seemed worth it just to save 50 bucks --and that's coming from a guy who gets up in the middle of the night all the time for work.
However, things have gotten even craizer. There are people in Florida lining up right now for Black Friday sales. This blog is being written on Friday November 18!
I can understand if its a tradition in your family to fight the crowds on Black Friday and hunt for deals. I also understand its a very important day for retailers. I'm all for them doing well and having a healthy economy.
But I really have to wonder if those who stand in line a full eight days before the blessed event. They may be saving money, but I also think they're wasting a lot of time.
No one will beat me to those sweet, sweet deals.
In addition, I am the same doofus who camps out for four days for the right to buy and iPad, and to buy tickets to a sporting event.
In other words, I have not life, consumption is my god, and I seek whatever limited notoriety I can .

The singer sounds like a raspy blues dude who's definitely been around the block a few times....but surprisingly, Jamie N. Commons is only 23 years old!

There's only one thing that might be worse than the Neil Diamond/Barbra Streisand duet "You Don't Bring Me Flowers." And that's Jonathan Suttin doing his best crooning...doing both parts. Most unpleasant.
