Do you find yourself making the same New Year's resolutions every year? Do you remember what was on your list when you were a teenager? I do--thanks to a box of journals I held on to all these years.
Here's my list from when I was 16!
1. Be more outgoing.
2. Be more helpful around the house.
3. Not bitch so much.
4. Ignore Dad when he acts dumb.
5. Work harder on my appearance.
6. Study harder for school.
7. Exercise more.
8. Keep my room clean.
9. Don't judge other people.
10. Be friendlier, especially to guys.
Yeah..I still need to work on some of those. But there was one other thing in that journal entry that makes me realize how far I've come. I babysat that night and watched Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year. Here's a quote: "Erik Estrada was the host, and ee gads I'm in love. What a hunk!"
I've really progressed a lo since then. I now think the other guy on CHIPS was much cuter.
What was his name again?
