Neil Young's car

When I saw Neil Young's car, the Lincvolt, at Farm Aid, I figured Neil put it on a semi in California and had it driven to Milwaukee so we could all look at it. I should have known Neil better. Lincvolt is Neil Young's 1959 Lincoln Continental that's been turned into a super-cool fuel efficient vehicle. It would not make sense to waste a bunch of gas trucking the car across half the countryside. Of course, somebody drove it to Farm Aid! I found out more on the Lincvolt's website, reading the car's blog (written entirely from the car's perspective.) From the most recent entry: "Weather is beautiful, wish you were here!  Oh wait.  You are here.  Hello, Blog! And also, for the record, the weather here is actually kinda crazy.  It’s windy and chilly, brrr. My top is up!   Anyway, I am thrilled to be here hangin’ out at Farm Aid, proud to be part of Growing Hope for America." Neil Young has reportedly spent a million dollars to have an engineer named Jonathan Goodwin retrofit this car, which is still a work in progress. The goal is to create a zero emissions automobile that makes it unnecessary to refuel on the roadside entirely. And eventually they want to make it so we don't need petroleum based fuels at all and don't have to have any more wars over energy supplies. That leads me to this question--can a car really bring about world peace? I have to say kudos to Neil for trying. (Find out more about Lincvolt here.)
