When I heard National Mustard Day was almost here..I had a momentary mustard flashback!
The flashback originates back in 1995, when John Urban and I co-hosted the Triple M Morning Show. We had Barry Levenson of the Mustard Museum on our show as a guest, and he invited us to come out to the museum to take part in Mustard Day festivities. That year one of the "festivities" was the Mustard Gauntlet.
I was younger then, and game for just about anything. And as some circus guy once said, there's a sucker born every minute.
Here's what we had to do...run in between two lines of people while they squirted mustard at us. We're still smiling for this picture, but weren't smiling when we found out there were no shower facilities. We each took turns in a back office trying to get off what we could with paper towels.
I wanted to throw away my newly yellow Triple M T-shirt, but John insisted his mom could get out the stain.
He was right. It was good as new. How did she get that shirt so clean? Some Ancient Chinese Secret?

It's a miracle that both Jonathan and KItty wanted to hear Barry Manilow this morning. They were not alone. Plenty of Fanilow's called in to vote yes. One caller claimed to have seen Manilow in concert 25 times!
