Tonight there's a cool event at Monona Terrace called Heavy Metal Chef. What an interesting idea. Three chefs compete by thrashing out their favorite heavy metal toons on pots and pans. I wonder how many of them will be playing Metallica?
Wait. I've just been informed this is not a musical competition. Good thing I found out now considering I'm one of the emcees for the event. Can you imagine if I would have shown up for the competition wearing a ripped Iron Maiden t-shirt. How embarrassing!
So here's the plan: Chefs will have to create a delicious main course in a short period of time. There will also be a secret ingredient thrown in! You'll be able to watch the whole thing unfold and maybe even get some tips on making meals too.
The money raised goes to charity and the food goes in your belly. Come check it out tonight at Monona Terrace at 5:30. It's only $25 at the door!
The best part may be watching Mayor Dave as one of the judges. I'm not sure how refined his palate is for this type of competition. We'll find out tonight.
