What song did we just play? Here's the Triple M playlist

What does Kitty have to say?

Kitty's next "adventure"

Like that great sage (Yogi Berra) once said, it's "deja vu all over again." Around this time last year, I underwent back surgery at UW Hospital. It was surgery on my spine, to deal with symptoms that resulted from spina bifida, a birth defect I was born with.  Basically "spina bifida" means the bones around my spinal cord didn't form completely, and over the years scar tissue built up around the open area, pulling down on my spine and causing numbness and tingling in my legs. The surgery went great, but in March the symptoms came back, and this surgery is to deal with new scar tissue that formed as a result of the last surgery. I'll probably be recovering at home for around 4 weeks. Now this seems a little repetitive and perhaps not as sexy the second time around, so I've been trying to think of some embellished stories to tell people instead of the boring old surgery stuff.  Here are some that I came up. Feel free to add your own.
1. I'm going on a pilgrimage to visit the graves of dead rock stars...from Duane Allman in Macon, GA to wherever Amy Winehouse is resting these days. 2. I'm feeding starving orphans. 3. I'm working on an intricate mosaic made up of used beer bottle caps in the likeness of Chubby Checker. 4. I'm getting ready for the mother of all garage sales. 5. I'm hiking the Appalachian Trail.

Hey Kitty! I can't believe you're having another back surgery. I had a spinal fusion about the same time as your surgery last year, it went great, but sure wouldn't want to do it again. Best of luck with everything, I'll be thinking of you and missingyou on the radio!! Dawn

You should tell people that you are taking a leave of absence to caddie for the Dalai Lama on the Senior Tour. You will be the Lama's caddie Kitty. Good luck, and get well soon!

World's Worst iPod:Escape Club "Wild Wild West"
Remember when we were headed for the 90s..and grooving to the Escape Club? This band from London scored a number 1 hit in 1988 with the song "Wild Wild West." It's probably the only song you remember from that band--but they weren't a...

World's Worst iPod: Wayne Newton "Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast"
With Father's Day coming up, we thought we'd choose one of the greatest dad songs of all time.  But since that song wasn't on the iPod, we decided to go with "Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast" by Wayne Newton. This song made...

Day 4: The Final Day of Bonnaroo
Today was another busy day at Bonnaroo. We started the day off by seeing Shakey Graves. I missed his show in Madison earlier this year so he was a must see on my list. Loved him! Right as he ended, a press conference with Ed Helms, Abigail...

Day 3: Saturday
Saturday was a very busy day! So many Triple M bands to see! So many concerts were back to back, so we did a lot of walking back and forth from the stages to the media compound. If you're ever in need of getting more steps in during the day,...

Day 2: Friday - Variety, the Spice of Life
Day 2 is upon us! Despite being up fairly late and not sleeping super well (first time camping...I'll get used to it I'm sure), I was hoping to sleep in just a little bit, but my body had other plans. It woke me up at 5:45am for the hell of it. I...

World's Worst iPod: Engelbert Humperdinck "After the Lovin'"
One of the great things about radio in the 60s and 70s is the variety of music that made it onto the radio.  A rock song by Led Zeppelin could be followed up by Paul Anka or Andy Williams. A polka could make it to top 40 right alongside a disco song...

5 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Breese Stevens Field
With the big concert with the Avett Brothers and Brett Dennen coming up at Breese Stevens Field in October, I did a little digging to find out more about the facility that was just put on the National Register of Historic Places last year. 1. I always...
