Jeff Beck meets the Octomom

You may have already heard that Jeff Beck will be on American Idol tonight, peforming with Joss Stone on the Idol Gives Back telethon. Also scheduled to appear--Nadya Suleman. That's right, the tabloid superstar, the Octomom. What you may not have known, is that Jeff Beck bumped into Ms. Octomom backstage during rehearsals. Here's a bit of their AWKWARD conversation. Octomom: So I've heard a lot about you. Well actually my kids are big fans. And I do have a lot of them. Kids, that is. Jeff Beck: Your kids are fans. That's a bit of a surprise. Usually my demographic is a bit older. You know, British invasion and all that. Octomom: I thought your show was Canadian. You do produce the Backyardigans, don't you? Jeff Beck: I was in the Yardbirds, is that what you mean? Octomom: The Yardbirds..is that another cartoon show? Is it on Nickelodeon? Jeff Beck: No. It was a band, in the 60's. Maybe you've heard of some of  our songs. For Your Love, Heart Full of Soul...they were pretty popular.  You know, Over Under Sideways Down. Octo-mom. Over Under Sideways Down!  Yes!  I've been there, at the fertility clinic. You can imagine. Jeff Beck: Sorry, mum. Can't quite. I've no children. Octomom: No children? Then what do you do? How do you spend your time? Jeff Beck: Well I live in an English castle, with my wife and plenty of guitars. Got garages full of cars too. Hot rods, vintage stuff. Octomom: That's awesome. Do you have a mini-van? Mini-vans are excellent, if you ask me. Because if you have to haul around... Jeff Beck (interrupting, desperate): This hummus dip is really good. Hey can some one get me some more hummus? And some tea and biscuits? Somebody? Seacrest?  Simon? Help.....

World's Worst iPod:Escape Club "Wild Wild West"
Remember when we were headed for the 90s..and grooving to the Escape Club? This band from London scored a number 1 hit in 1988 with the song "Wild Wild West." It's probably the only song you remember from that band--but they weren't a One Hit...

World's Worst iPod: Wayne Newton "Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast"
With Father's Day coming up, we thought we'd choose one of the greatest dad songs of all time. But since that song wasn't on the iPod, we decided to go with "Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast" by Wayne Newton. This song made it all the way...

Day 4: The Final Day of Bonnaroo
Today was another busy day at Bonnaroo. We started the day off by seeing Shakey Graves. I missed his show in Madison earlier this year so he was a must see on my list. Loved him! Right as he ended, a press conference with Ed Helms, Abigail...

Day 3: Saturday
Saturday was a very busy day! So many Triple M bands to see! So many concerts were back to back, so we did a lot of walking back and forth from the stages to the media compound. If you're ever in need of getting more steps in during the day,...

Day 2: Friday - Variety, the Spice of Life
Day 2 is upon us! Despite being up fairly late and not sleeping super well (first time camping...I'll get used to it I'm sure), I was hoping to sleep in just a little bit, but my body had other plans. It woke me up at 5:45am for the hell of it. I...

World's Worst iPod: Engelbert Humperdinck "After the Lovin'"
One of the great things about radio in the 60s and 70s is the variety of music that made it onto the radio. A rock song by Led Zeppelin could be followed up by Paul Anka or Andy Williams. A polka could make it to top 40 right alongside a disco song or a...

5 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Breese Stevens Field
With the big concert with the Avett Brothers and Brett Dennen coming up at Breese Stevens Field in October, I did a little digging to find out more about the facility that was just put on the National Register of Historic Places last year. 1. I always...
