I’m a blues jeans kinda gal, but for two weekends every January, it’s all about fashion!
Bridal fashion that is.
No, I don’t get married every year. (I’m not Elizabeth Taylor or Zsa Zsa Gabor) Every year I am the commentator for the big Bridal Show in Madison and in Milwaukee.
I’ve been doing this for almost 20 years and look forward to it every year. I get to work with the same models from Chicago, the same DJ from Milwaukee and Pat and Larry Brady from Joy Publications. Over the years, I’ve come to know a lot about the world of weddings and the gowns are always so beautiful that they make me want to get married all again. It does crack me up though, working with models and others in the world of fashion because I am the least fashion forward person I know. Now, if it were fashion BACKWARD, my tie dye wardrobe would work! But I DO get to get dressed up a little for the show. One day I wore my velvet top with the shiny butterflies, and the next day, my red velvet top. Since I’m only seen from the waist up (like the TV people) I DO wear black jeans.
So one weekend down, and one weekend in Milwaukee to go! Can’t wait.
