I got a call from my sister yesterday- she had read my blog on Friday and knew that I was planning attending a swim clinic over the weekend. Turns out my sister knows the woman that was putting on the clinic- they danced together when they were both kids. Shannon (my sister) called to tell me that she ran into Kari (the swim teacher) and Kari said I swam pretty well, but need to learn to point my toes (yeah- like I haven't heard that before).
So this morning I'm at my regular swim class and after class I'm telling the instructor the story (he's one of several people who have told me I need to learn to point my toes). Turns out he used to date her (the other instructor's) sister.
It's almost like the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon.
Like I said...it's a small world.
I'm not sure why Pete Yorn decided to name his new music project after a European cave dwelling aquatic salamander, but if he stops by to play us some songs in Studio M, we'll have to ask him.

It's a miracle that both Jonathan and KItty wanted to hear Barry Manilow this morning. They were not alone. Plenty of Fanilow's called in to vote yes. One caller claimed to have seen Manilow in concert 25 times!
