Breathe deeply.
It’s just a game.
I have no control over the outcome of any professional sporting competition.
These are a few of the things I have to say to myself this NFL season. Yesterday the Chicago Bears were able to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory. In case you missed it, good for you.
All you need to know as that Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos were able to win yet again. Tebow wears his religion right on the front of his uniform and openly prays during the game.
So does this really mean God loves Tim Tebow and hates the Chicago Bears?
No.

Back in 2001, the Bears went 13 and 3. They won a few games they probably shouldn’t have won. In fact, there were two games in which safety Mike Brown returned to interceptions for wins in overtime. It was unbelievable and it seemed like the Bears were a team of destiny. The ball bounced the Bears way that season, but then suddenly it didn’t. They lost in the playoffs to the Philadelphia Eagles.
When it comes to sports, I believe things even out.
God is not interested in rooting for one football team over another.
Although, I’m starting to wonder if Yahweh did buy some shares of Green Bay Packers stock when it went on sale last week.
