I heard the ads on the radio over and over again. They told me to send in my video explaining why I wanted to be the backstage blogger for Bonnaroo 2009. The deadline was closing in as I had brushed it off many times, assuming I would never find the time. Being the mother of two children, I have difficulties even finding time in the evening to bathe nonetheless create a video to win a contest!
But somehow, by a sweet miracle, and by listening to that annoying little voice in the back of my head, I managed to dig up 1 hour to pull something together. And it wasn't easy to come by. I had to fight off the husband, lock the kids out of my room and order pizza for dinner. With some luck and this little social networking website called Facebook, I won!! A ginormous THANKS goes out to all of my voters, followers and friends. It was a tight, heated race and my nerves were in a bundle wondering how many people would unfriend me from Facebook?!
I couldn't have done it without you and a gal named Myrtle. Frankly, I think Myrtle deserves the tickets more than I do as she did all the talking. However, she seems to think I'd be a better blogger. And so the journey begins to Bonnaroo 2009. Hang onto your hats guys, it's going to be a wild ride!!!
