I see WINNERS! by Gabby Parsons,posted Jan 30 2012 8:35AM
We had some technical difficulties last week and I could not post my winners. So after a long weekend’s wait, here are last week’s caption contest winners.
Up first, the honorable mentions:
Tami Barbara was the kind of woman who could take "High Maintenance" to a whole new level.
Todd B In just a few minutes, she really will have "Betty Davis's Eyes"
Parmelli The absent-minded Wizard was ever-so easily confused. By the time he got around to granting her request, he gave Dorothy a brand-spanking, new brain, and sent the Scarecrow back to Kansas into the midst of the same tornado which had transported Dorothy to Oz in the first place, shredding him until he was to be found over... and over there... and over there.
Kraig Any beautiful woman who donned the "Gableinator" saw Herr Doktor Richard Gehirn as Clark Gable. Mwahahahaha, mwahahahaha, mwahahahaha!!!
Steve "I am so glad I waited until I was older to get braces. It's much less of an inconvenience."
And this week’s winner of 4 cool new CD’s is….. John C. Due to budget cuts, MATC will merge their auto repair and optometry programs.
Thanks for playing. Look for a new photo on Wednesday!
It's almost the end of the month, the weather is tolerable and I'm feeling generous, so this week, the caption contest winner will receive FOUR CD'S...
GOOD ONES, TOO
The Black Keys
Stripped down Double Fantasy ( John and Yoko )
Graffiti 6 ( the guys that do that " Free" song
the soundtrack to the film " Up in the Air"
This past week was one of ups and downs, with Packers and recalls, but one thing that transends sports and politics is laughter. With that in mind, here is this week's photo for you to caption.
REMEMBER: YOU MUST PUT YOUR NAME IN THE SUBJECT LINE TO GET CREDIT AND RECEIVE YOUR PRIZE IF YOU ARE THE WINNER.
Our winner will be able to choose their OWN prize from a wide assortment of stuff!!
Wow! I am very impressed with the quality of this week’s captions,. You have outdone yourselves! However, as much as I’d like to, I can’t award everyone a prize. So, let’s begin with this week’s honorable mentions.
Up first because any mention of Muppets and The Three stooges is OK in my book:
Kraig Witnesses described the robber as a cross between Lamb Chop and Mo Howard.
Then we had this character “ mash-up”
Justin Stiper Mr. Bill tries out for the lead roll in the remake of Tootsie
Sometimes the simple captions are best:
Art Paul Schlosser Some Christmas Gifts are just not returnable
Geno Joan Rivers finally decided to go with the more "natural" look.
Gary Charles gives whole new meaning to the expression "hat hair"!
AND THIS WEEK WE HAVE TWO WINNERS!!! You must contact me to discuss your prizes!
Jan S Why yes, I did get a weave
James S. The doctors and nurses on the burn unit had a very ironic sense of humor.
