Bloodshot Records is a great independent record company out of Chicago, that features a lot of music I just love! According to their website it's the "good stuff nestled in the dark, nebulous cracks where punk, country, soul, pop, bluegrass, blues and rock mix and mingle and mutate."
They recently made a whole album of that "good stuff" available for free on amazon.com. All of the songs aren't necessarily brand new, but they may be new to you!
They range from a slow ballad from Alejandro Escovedo, to rockers from the Bottle Rockets and Ha Ha Tonka to upbeat alt-country from Old 97's.
