Why can’t I ever find a million 3 million dollars in the floorboards?! Karl Kissner was helping his family clean out the attic in his grandparents’ house and found a box filled with baseball cards. He recognized some of the names and was impressed the cards were in such good condition.
He decided to take them to an expert who told him he had what may be “the biggest sports find ever made.” Have you heard of the Honus Wagner card? It’s the holy grail of baseball card. They are probably worth more than finding the actual Holy Grail. The experts rate Kissner’s Wagner card at a perfect 10 out of 10.
The entire collection is estimated to be worth about 3 million dollars. Kissner has a lot of relatives and they plan on splitting the money.
I’ve always imagined finding something valuable in all the junk I have saved, but most of the stuff consists of high school yearbooks, old pictures and a stack of the newspaper columns I wrote in high school and college. I’ve also dreamed of finding a copy of the Constitution or a rare Van Gough painting at a garage sale, but so far I’ve only scored a lamp and a couple of folding chairs.
Today is World Goth Day, a day to celebrate the post-punk, anti-establishment, dark clothes-wearing subculture.
I'm pretty sure I was a Goth for at least for little while, for two reasons.
1) I almost hardly ever wear pastels.
