Favre Follower?

favreAs many of you know, I'm a Chicago Bears fan.  Don't blame me.  I was born and raised in Chicago so it only makes sense.    Therefore, I've been watching the whole Brett Favre saga from a somewhat neutral vantage point. I've talked with so many Packer fans this season and heard so many different thoughts on whether or not it's okay to root for Favre throughout the season.  It seems to come down to three basic positions: 1) Root for Favre when he's not playing the Packers 2) Root for Favre and forget the Packers 3) Forget Favre I'm not sure which choice Packer fans should make.  Favre did provide Packer fans with so many thrills over the years, but he also kept fans hanging each year as they wondered whether he was going to retire.  He did bring the Packers out of no-man's land.  Remember how being drafted by Green Bay was considered like a trip to Siberia?  However, it did feel at times like he was more concerned about Brett as opposed to the entire team. I think Packer fans will really know how they feel about Favre after Sunday's game against the Saints.  If Favre throws for four or five touchdowns and no interceptions en route to a huge win and you don't get sick to your stomach, I guess you still don't mind him that much. As a Bears fan, I'm still just trying to imagine what it would be  like to have a hall of fame quarterback to get annoyed with!

I find myself feeling sort of vindicated as a Packer fan...watching Sports Center last night & today, the overwhelming comment I hear is that it was the pass we've all been waiting for Brett to throw the past 4 months, (& in true Favre fashion itcame with the worst timing). I am so glad for not being one of the fans asking why did he throw that ball?, but instead I find myself pointing my finger at Benedict & the Queens and the only words coming to mind are 'Tee-Hee, have a great off-season!'

Your comments this a.m. by you and Kitty were uncalled for. Favre got hurt in the 3rd quarter but continued to play as he loves the game. Ive been a fan of the packers for a long time and feel the Packer management did a horrible job when Brett left. If you cant say something nice dont say it. This is big time Packer country (your a bear fan)so really you have no reason to say anything. I first am a Packer fan but give Favre credit for giving us 16+ years of talent, excitement. I didnt follow him to the Jets or to Vikings. And was saddened when he went to Minnesota. But feel he loves the game and is one tough cookie. So please talk about positive things on your show. There are people out here who still worship the guy.

World's Worst iPod: Exile "Kiss You All Over"
Kitty thought this song was an example of country disco and was not a fan...but just about everybody else was. "Kiss You All Over" was #1 for four weeks in 1978, and was probably one of the year's best songs. Exile rocks out with the...
