Farm Aid 25 is tomorrow at Miller Park in Milwaukee..and I will be there, bundled up and ready to hear some great live music! (Get Farm Aid info HERE)
Unfortunately the weather isn't going to cooperate..it's going to be in the low 50's during the day and dip down to around 4o at night, and the roof is going to be OPEN! So I'm definitely going to be dressed in layers.
Farm Aid is dedicated to helping family farmers--so in that spirit, they're going to feature a locally grown menu..everything from organic popcorn to organic and local hamburgers..to popped sorghum. What's that? I guess I'll have a chance to find out.
The lineups have changed quite a bit over the years for Farm Aid. The main guys Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp are still in there swinging, and Dave Matthews joined the fold a few years ago. I was kind of surprised to see that Eddie Van Halen and Sammy Hagar played the first one, back in 1985.
I'm not sure why Pete Yorn decided to name his new music project after a European cave dwelling aquatic salamander, but if he stops by to play us some songs in Studio M, we'll have to ask him.
