Farewell Facebook

So this might be the  quickest Facebook cancellation ever. I never realized how much work it was going to be updating the page, keeping up with correspondence and seeking out new friends. I like my MySpace page because I get turned on to new artists just about every day! But one thing about Facebook appealed to me: 25 random things. So here are mine, since it won't be posted to Facebook anytime soon.

  1. I lived on a chicken farm until I was 9
  2. I can’t carry a tune
  3. I have never been in a car accident
  4. I like reading poetry out loud
  5. I can’t spell very well
  6. I never went to my HS prom
  7. I have a Masters Degree in radio and television
  8. Snakes freak me out
  9. I love cave tours
  10. I have more Van Morrison on my ipod than any other artist
  11. I’m shy at parties, but great one on one
  12. I’m a good cook
  13. My first concert was Peter Paul and Mary
  14. I made Frank Zappa laugh
  15. I’ve broken a toe, an ankle and a non-weight bearing leg bone
  16. I’ve only seen the Grateful Dead 2 times
  17. I took piano lessons for 7 years
  18. I used to drive a restored bright red 1966 Chevelle
  19. Spicy food? Sign me up
  20. I grew up 20 minutes from site of original Woodstock Festival
  21. No one wants to play Trivial Pursuit with me
  22.  I’m usually reading 2-3 books at the same time
  23. I’ve never been to a professional baseball or football game
  24. I’m very impatient
  25. A dream vacation would be driving the entire old Route 66

World's Worst iPod: Kajagoogoo "Too Shy"
Gotta love the '80s! Depending on who you're talking to, Kajagoogoo's "Too Shy" is either a song that defines the decade, in a good way, or it's a song that gives all other '80s songs a bad name. It made it to #5 on the charts in...

5 Things You Probably Didn't Know about Birthday Boy Neil Young
Happy 69th birthday to my favorite self-proclaimed "rich hippie," Neil Young. I remember when I was a kid, I hated Neil's voice. I didn't even particularly care for his songs CSNY albums, but the guy grew on me, and he's now one of my...

World's Worst iPod: Mac and Katie Kissoon "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep"
There was a lot of love this morning for a song that made it up to #20 in 1971 for the brother sister team of Mac and Katie Kissoon. The pair hailed from Trinidad and this was their only Top 40 hit.

World's Worst iPod: Robbie Nevil "C'est La Vie"
"That's just the way things go," croons Robbie Nevil in the soong "C'est La Vie." Despite the fact that the theme seemed to fit the way a lot of people feel today, there just wasn't enough to support playing it in its entirety. Released...
