Neil Young had intended this photograph to be the cover of Harvest. The picture was taken by Stray Gator Jack Nitzsche and titled Canadian youth at play. Young loved the photo but Elliot Mazer pushed him to go with the more simple script cover. Young eventually caved and thepicture was sold to a Canadian stock photography distributor.
