FREE MP3: Reptar - Sebastian

If your feet aren't moving, you're not listening.

Listen up, my beautiful rugrats! This free download is from Reptar, a band of rowdy boys from Athens, Georgia. If you enjoy the Afrobeat, indie pop-n-rocking of Vampire Weekend, you will dig this band. Reptar’s songs are loaded with upbeat, tribal drums and synthy fun. If your feet aren’t moving, you’re not listening. It’s the sound of summer, so throw on your wayfarers (I know you have pair), and enjoy some fun in the sun with Reptar as your musical guide. You can download their song “Sebastian” here; it’ll be on their forthcoming disc Body Faucet, out May 1st.

I stumbled upon Reptar when they opened for Phantogram at High Noon last October, and I can testify – they are a randy good time live. Join me at their headlining show at High Noon next Wednesday, April 4th. Be prepared to dance. Or at least jump around and get all sweaty. Who needs hot yoga when you’ve got shows like these?

Are the new Beatles mono remasters on vinyl worth it?
Last week, the Beatles re-released their catalog on vinyl, in mono, the way the Beatles wanted you to hear their music. Is it worth spending 400 dollars or so on the box set, or would it be better to just pick up some of your favorites--for around 22...
