A recent survey finds 27 percent of Americans think God decides who wins the Super Bowl each year.
Repeating now: 27 PERCENT OF AMERICANS THINK GOD DECIDES WHO WINS THE SUPER BOWL.
Seriously?!
I have so many questions. Does God decide at the Super Bowl champ at the beginning of each season or does he already have it all figured out for the next 20 years? If He picks the winner why does He have such a problem with Cleveland? Does God tell all the angels what’s going to happen or does he let them bet on the games? Does God just care about the NFL or does he pay attention to other sports too? Did he cause the lockout in the NHL? How far does he go with sports? Did he add a divine hand when I made that awesome shot off the tree during my game of HORSE with my friend Joey back in 1976?
If you really think God is deciding the outcome of games in the NFL, don’t you think he would take a moment to make sure players don’t suffer concussions? Don’t you think he would have stepped in and helped players like Junior Seau and Dave Duerson who ended up committing suicide most likely because of their injuries?
