Deal or No Deal?

Ok, so here’s what I was thinking…. My fear is that I will finally get backstage with all of these amazing artists and my interview questions are going to suck. So, I turn to you, my followers (all 5 of you) to help me develop a list of riveting interview questions. Questions they have never heard before. Questions that will make them think. Questions you’ve all been wondering yourself. First take a look at the lineup. * A.A. Bondy * Al Green * Alberta Cross * Alejandro Escovedo * Allen Toussaint * Amadou & Mariam * Andrew Bird * Ani DiFranco * Animal Collective * Band of Horses * Beastie Boys * Béla Fleck & Toumani Diabate * Ben Harper and Relentless7 * Bon Iver * Booker T & the DBTs * Brett Dennen * Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band * Cage the Elephant * Chairlift * Cherryholmes * Citizen Cope * Coheed & Cambria * Crystal Castles * David Byrne * David Grisman Quintet * Delta Spirit * Elvis Costello Solo * Elvis Perkins in Dearland * Erykah Badu * Everest * Femi Kuti and the Positive Force * Galactic * Girl Talk * Gomez * Gov't Mule * Grace Potter and the Nocturnals * Grizzly Bear * Heartless Bastards * High On Fire * Hockey * Janelle Monáe * Jenny Lewis * Kaki King * Katzenjammer * King Sunny Adé & the African Beats * Lucinda Williams * Merle Haggard * MGMT * Midnite * Mike Farris and the Roseland Rhythm Revue * moe. * MURS * Neko Case * Nine Inch Nails * of Montreal * Okkervil River * Passion Pit * Paul Oakenfold * People Under The Stairs * Phish (2 shows) * Portugal. The Man * Pretty Lights * Public Enemy * Raphael Saadiq * Robert Earl Keen * Robyn Hitchcock & The Venus 3 * Rodrigo y Gabriela * Santigold * Shadows Fall * Snoop Dogg * St. Vincent * Ted Leo and the Pharmacists * The Decemberists * The Del McCoury band * The Dillinger Escape Plan * The Dirty Projectors * The Itals * The Knux * The Lovell Sisters * The Low Anthem * The Mars Volta * The SteelDrivers * Tift Merritt * Todd Snider * Tony Rice Unit * Toubab Krewe * TV on the Radio * Vieux Farka Touré * Wailing Souls * White Rabbits * Wilco * Yeah Yeah Yeahs * Yeasayer * Zac Brown Band Do you see anyone you know on here? Anyone you’d personally like to meet? And, what would you ask them?
Here’s the deal: You provide me with some out of this world interview questions; I’ll get you an autograph or picture or whatever you want! I’m open to suggestions. I’ve already made a deal to have Snoop Dogg sign my chest. I’m also taking a 9-year-old sealed copy of Guitar magazine with Trey Anastasio on the cover to get his autograph. While I’m visiting Trey I’m supposed to let him know that Andy is very upset with Phish. He went through hell to see their "going away" shows in Vermont, only to have them reunite. He walked 14 miles to get into a huge mud pit and they sounded terrible! He will never forgive them. Well, maybe after he sees them at Alpine, but until then, he’s very upset. You get the point. You help me and I’ll help you. Deal or no deal?! -posted by Trish

Free download: Jamie N. Commons
Have you heard the song "Rumble and Sway" yet on Triple M? The singer sounds like a raspy blues dude who's definitely been around the block a few times....but surprisingly, Jamie N. Commons is only 23 years old! He was born in England, but...

New food of the week: Kale
Last week, I decided I would try one new, healthy food a week, and asked my facebook friends to make some suggestions. The first thing I tried was mango. I'm sure I've had other mango flavored things, and mango as part of something else, but...

World's Worst iPod: You Don't Bring Me Flowers
There's only one thing that might be worse than the Neil Diamond/Barbra Streisand duet "You Don't Bring Me Flowers." And that's Jonathan Suttin doing his best crooning...doing both parts. Most unpleasant. A lot of people liked this song...

Getting It Tight
Last weeks challenge we thought went excellent! Of course we are a little biased. The drinking song couldn't have been any better, or any less fun. We had a blast through out the whole process, and our performance rocked. This week is an easy...

World's Worst iPod: The Girl is Mine by Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney
So the story goes Michael Jackson completed this song while watching cartoons with Paul McCartney. We'll just let that sink in for a moment. Not sure what cartoons they were watching, but it must have worked because this song made it to number 2...

Who said it? Dolly, or the Dalai Lama?
The Dalai Lama is back in town, sharing his message of peace and kindness with likeminded individuals, and the Wisconsin legislature. He also held a private meeting with Gov. Walker, who said he mostly listened to what His Holiness had to say (wise...

World's Worst iPod: Somethin' Stupid by Frank and Nancy Sinatra
This duet by Ol' Blue Eyes and his daughter went all the way to number 1 back in 1967. It seems a little creepy that Frank and Nancy Sinatra are singing a love song. However, a lot of Triple M listeners were in the mood for it. Here's...
