Once again life imitates art or in this case comedy. Researchers at the University of Georgia just released a study finding outdoor cats are very busy killing things in the night. The researchers put kittycams on several felines and found that cats ate about 30 percent of their kills, brought home another 25 percent and left 49 percent of their prey to rot away. They even broke down what the cats are killing: Lizards, snakes and frogs (41 percent); chipmunks and vols (25 percent); insects and worms (20 percent) and birds (12 percent).
This is all great information, but the researchers could have simply looked at the headline SIX YEARS AGO from one of my favorite publications, The Onion. Here it is…
