David Gray's Draw the Line

51750381 I remember seeing David Gray walking through the lobby of The Pfister Hotel one afternoon in Milwaukee.  It was winter and he was wearing a ski cap.  He moved through the lobby rather quickly looking straight ahead with his hands in his pockets.  I don't think he was worried about being recognized, he just seems like a low-key type of guy. How would you like a free music download (*while supplies last)? Simply go to downtownmusic.com/vinylmp3 using UPC: 878037010916 and Unique Download Code(s): DWTRB1VYR5P, DWTJ20752BD, DWTMPNRD840, DWT558G1ZT7, DWT71J5K7U5 A few years ago, I had a chance to interview him in Studio M.  He was very modest about his work and talked about the time he was second fiddle.  The marquee said "Tonight: Ribs, David Gray".  Yes, the dinner special was more important. Gray's latest album is called Draw the Line and it's right in line with his other work and that's a good thing.  The first song we've featured from the album is Fugitive.  Apparently Gray was inspired to write the song after reading about Saddam Hussein hiding for U.S. troops in a spider hole.   After reading about his inspiration it definitely gave the song a new feel, but I still like it. David Gray has always been an artist that always fits comfortably into my musicial landscape.  Whether his music is in the background while Lindsay and I are making dinner or he's part of the soundtrack for a long car ride,  he's always a welcome addition to my collection.
