Madison's Craft Beer Week looks like it will be ten days filled with frothy fun.
Bars, liquor stores, and even a grocery store or two are getting in on the action, with lots of great beer tasting events happening May 4th-13th.
I went through the list of activities, and picked out some that I think will definitely be worth checking out.
Friday 5/4
Tipsy Cow (downtown Madison). 7pm-close.Guess the mystery tap beer, and you may win fabulous prizes. They will also have beers available from Central Waters Brewery, and a rep from this central Wisconsin brewery will be on hand to answer questions. All the beers I've tried from this brewery, located in Amherst, have been delicious!
Saturday 5/5
7:30am-1pm Stalzy's Deli on Atwood Avenue will be serving up a 3-course beer breakfast. Beer from Tyranena in Lake Mills. Beer. It's what's for breakfast.
Sunday 5/6
11am-close. Founders Brewery will take over 8 to 10 taps at Dexters. I'm sure I've tried beers from this Grand Rapids brewery at the Great Taste, but I just might need a refresher course.
Monday 5/7
7-10pm Old Chicago on the west side will have their taps taken over by Port Huron Brewery. This is a new brewery in Wisconsin Dells. I haven't tried any of their beers yet, but this looks like a good opportunity. While you're there, get on the World Beer Tour. You get cool prizes just for trying different beers.
Tuesday 5/8
5pm-10pm Dark Fiery and Sensual, A Night of Dark Beer Delights. Make a trip to the dark side and try some porters, stouts, and the like. One that sounds interesting: Ommegang Seduction, a Belgian style chocolate ale with cherry notes.
Wednesday 5/9
4-11pm A free shuttle bus will take you to and from 7 different downtown and eastside bars.
Thursday 5/10
7pm-close Head over to Sprecher Restaurant and Brewery for $3. Sprecher President Jeff Hamilton will be guest bartender.
Friday 5/11
5-8pm Head to Maduro for Tall Grass-Gail Ambrosius Chocolate Night. Try beers from Tall Grass Brewery in Kansas paired with yummy local chocolate.
Saturday 5/12
2pm-close. Bells Circus. Dexters will have beer from Bells Brewery flowing from 15 taps, plus a circus outside with game and a dunk tank. If you want the carousel, you'll have to walk a few blocks over to Ella's.
Sunday 5/13
2-6pm at Demetral Park across from Oscar Mayer, it's the Brewer's Olympics with a beer server obstacle course, grain sack races and more. Bring your own craft beer and watch the entertainment.

John Fogerty is making the talk show rounds this week, stopping in to see David Letterman Tuesday and Wednesday, and the ladies of "The View" on Thursday.
He's promoting his new album, "Wrote a Song For Everyone" which comes out next Tuesday...
It's a miracle that both Jonathan and KItty wanted to hear Barry Manilow this morning. They were not alone. Plenty of Fanilow's called in to vote yes. One caller claimed to have seen Manilow in concert 25 times!
The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, it is another gorgeous Monday, fit for another great show at the Crystal Corner tonight.
Through locking ourselves in the barn on Irish Lane, tossing some ideas around, as well as a few choice beverages to...
Hey everybody, we were thrown for a loop by the twist this week, but were able to make one of our "oldie but a goldie" songs fit the mold.
We have a few songs that we have played consistently over the years, and we are very happy that we will be...
We just received word of what this weeks twist is, and...oh boy. We need to take our "signature song" and cut it to only 2:30 without going over. Amberstein does not simply play 2:30 versions of our songs...so this could be interesting.

In 1984, Rockwell rose to number 2 for 3 weeks in 1984 with "Somebody's Watching Me." The backup singer for the song was Michael Jackson. How did Rockwell get Jackson to help him? Well, Rockwell's real name is Kennedy William Gordy and he...
Have you heard the song "Rumble and Sway" yet on Triple M?
The singer sounds like a raspy blues dude who's definitely been around the block a few times....but surprisingly, Jamie N. Commons is only 23 years old!
He was born in England, but...
