I’m going to throw my chicken wing into the Chick-fil-A controversy. First of all, I believe same sex marriage should be recognized. I’ve never really understood how two people of the same sex in a committed relationship will hurt the sanctity of marriage. Doesn't Larry King’s eight marriages or Elizabeth Taylor’s seven marriages or Rush Limbaugh’s four marriages or television shows like “The Bachelor” or “Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire” completely destroying marriage?
As far as Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy taking a stand on the issue publicly, I have one question: Why? I don’t share all the same beliefs as my co-workers, but I don’t walk around the office talking about it. Did we used to know all the political and religious beliefs of the CEO of companies? Also does Cathy not want customers who don’t have the same beliefs as he does? If that’s the case, we’re really going to become a divided nation. Can you imagine not being served at a restaurant because you don’t have the same religious and political views as the owner?!
I'm not sure why Pete Yorn decided to name his new music project after a European cave dwelling aquatic salamander, but if he stops by to play us some songs in Studio M, we'll have to ask him.
