Biking Madison's neighborhoods

The Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin has put together the Madison By Bike Neighborhood Ride Series in order to help introduce more people to cycling in Madison.   Expect relaxed, comfortable trips to your favorite neighborhood destinations by bike. It’s also a learning experience - Bike Fed staff lead "Bicycling Made Easy" discussions before each of the rides. Each ride focuses on: 
  • Comfort: Feel safe and comfortable as most routes are on bike paths
  • Learning: Review safety and bicycling tips to build confidence going by bike
  • FUN:  Enjoy fantastic weather, great company, and the best of Madison neighborhoods
 Join your friends and neighbors – or meet new ones! – at one of these neighborhood rides this summer.  You’ll get great information, deals on bike merchandise and a fun, relaxed ride.  Here’s the scoop on upcoming rides:

Sunday July 29th
 “Bike to the Zoo”
Grab family, friends and a water bottle and ride to the Vilas Zoo from downtown!
Bicycling Made Simple Discussion: 1PM, Monona Terrace Hall of Fame Room, 1 John Nolen Drive
Ride Start: 2PM from Monona Terrace East Loading Area bike racks

Sunday August 5th
"Goodman to Woodman's"   
Stock up for your late summer BBQ at Woodman’s.  It’s also easier than you may think to get there by bike!
Bicycling Made Simple Discussion: 1PM, Evjue Room D, Goodman Community Center, 149 Waubesa Street
Ride Start: 2PM from Goodman Center bike racks

Sunday September 9th
“Campus to Hilldale”
Learn about safe, easy campus biking and how simple it is to get to great shopping at Hilldale by bicycle! 
Bicycling Made Simple Discussion: 1pm, UW Memorial Union, 800 Langdon Street
Ride Start: 2PM from Memorial Union parking lot
