I bet you didn't know that February is Spunky Old Broads Month? I find that exciting, since it's my birthday month, and I aspire to be a spunky old broad myself someday. (Okay..keep your wise-a** comments to yourself!)
I'd like to dedicate today's blog to my favorite spunky old broad, Betty White! She turned 87 last month and still appears to be going strong. I loved her as the sex craving Sue Ann Niven on the Mary Tyler Moore Show..and thought she did a great job as the naive Minnesotan on The Golden Girls.
She still keeps showing up as a guest on lots of shows. She was great as Kitty's mom on That 70's Show. I saw her on the new Regis Philbin version of Password recently and while she wasn't quite as sharp as she was 40 years ago with her hubbie Allen Ludden..she still did a great job. (I think she may have needed new batteries for her hearing aid).
I always love when Betty shows up on talk shows..she's hilarious, and definitely spunky. Check out this clip from the Ellen DeGeneres Show. Betty'll prove she's still got it.
I have to disagree with you Kitty. I think Betty White is not awesome. I think she is an idiot. When she used to be on the television game shows regularly back in the 70's and 80's (because her husband was executive at the network)she was an idiot. I always felt sorry for the poor contestant that got teamed up with her as a partner. Her answers were always ridiculous. Apparently you are too young to remember those game shows.
