Beat the Drum for WINNERS!

Another week comes to an end, with this week's caption contest winners. We start with honorable mentions: starting with Todd          If he asks you to pet his unicorn...it's a trap! then we  had Mike, who has as much going on in his caption as the photo does: I'll Never Take Ambien with a Shot of Nyquil and a Shot Of Tequilla Again...Oh But Wait, Maybe This Isn't a Dream, Perhaps It Is a Home Makeover by Richard Simmons...Yea, My Legs work, My Arms Move..I Feel Like Dancing..I'm Gonna Set up my Web Cam and Give Charlie Sheen a Run for his Sanity....... Up next is John C, who remembers great 50's TV shows: WORK! After the big fallout with Dobie Gillis, Maynard G. Krebs lived a simple, solitary life.  Our first runner up is Eric for his Princess Pinky caption: After weeks of torture, princess pinky finally escapes her horrible nightmare. And this week's BIG WINNER of the Phish CD/DVD and more is SKUNKY for his rambling caption!      Randy sloooooowly realizing that all his drums are A-OK and that the tornado he saw come sweeeeping through the inside of his house didn't mess things up too bad!  What he'll SOON realize is that there was no tornado at all, he's wearing his favorite childhood puppet as a cup, he can't recall the last 9hours, and that the acid he ate was a little stronger than he was told! Thanks everyone. Have a great weekend!

1. U2- Songs of Innocence: One of my favorite English poets is, William Blake. Jim Morrison of the Doors was so inspired by Blake's poetry, he used one of Blake's lines, "the doors of perception," to name the Doors….the Doors! So, this U2 album,...

World's Worst iPod: Carl Douglas "Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting"
It's hard to believe a novelty song like this went all the way up the charts to number one---but it did, and actually stayed there for two weeks! It seemed most everyone, excluding our meteorologist Brian Olson wanted to hear this song, which came...

When the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced its 2015 inductees this morning, I was very happy to see one of the names on the list: Stevie Ray Vaughan. Even though the late Texas guitar slinger has been eligible to get in since 2008, this is the...

Jeff the Promo Guy's Top 2014 Picks
2014 had a ton of great new album releases, and I easily came up with more than 10 to reference. I would have loved to include The Fray, Angus & Julia Stone, Bleachers, Alt-J, and George Ezra… but they just didn't make it on my Top 10 list. Here...
