You've probably heard that Barack Obama is the first Internet president. He puts his weekly radio address on the internet, and he was allowed to keep his Blackberry.
And even though he's a very busy man, he took time out of his busy day to send me an e-mail yesterday to tell me all about his economic recovery plan. I can tell he thinks a lot of me, because he addressed it to "Friend." Wow..Barack Obama is my friend! How awesome is that? Plus he thanked me for my resolve and support. How did he know I supported the $827 billion dollar plan? Is he psychic as well as good looking?
Apparently he didn't pick up on my feelings about a bailout for radio personalities--as far as I know it was NOT included in the legislation. Oh well...he's only been in office a month. I'll give him time.
In his e-mail, he told me that he's set up a couple of new websites. The first one, www.recovery.gov is going to let us know how every penny of that recovery money is spent.
The other lets us vent about the economic downturn. http://my.barackobama.com/yourstories.
I'm not sure if this whole economic bailout is going to work. But I'm hopeful.
And now that I have President Obama's e-mail address I'm going to forward him this cool chain e-mail I got that promises good things will happen if he forwards it to 20 friends. I figure he has a lot more friends than that...and let's face it, he's going to need a lot of luck to get this country back on track.
