For the weekend of May 21....
1)Bark & Wine: a fundraiser at and for the Dane County Humane Society, Saturday night from 7pm-10pm. Food, wine, live music and a silent auction to benefit the waiting to be adopted animals. Dogs will be dressed to the (K)-nines and will be your hosts for the evening. They will not however be tending bar. $75 per person.
2)Gary Louris at the High Noon Saloon, 9:30pm Friday. Singer, songwriter, and guitar player from one of my favorite alt-country bands, the Jayhawks.
3)Bernard Allison at the Club Tavern, 9:30 Saturday night. Yes, Luther Allison was his dad, but this guy is a hot blues player in his own right! NO COVER CHARGE.
Freaky Band Name of the Week: Tin Foil Helmet, plays the High Noon Saloon Saturday at 6pm. Indie rock from Middleton Wisconsin. And if I'm not mistaken, it features a former member of the Triple M weekend air staff. (Ed Monahan, is it really you?)
