A cue from Bewitched

A lot of people are talking about the future of the sitcom 2 1/2 Men, now that Ashton Kutcher has been tapped to step in for the exiting Charlie Sheen. I think most folks agree that it would be bad to have Ashton Kutcher simply play the Charlie Harper role (for one thing he's too young and too pretty).  In sitcom history, the only time that was ever seemingly pulled off was on Bewitched in the 1960's, when Dick York was replaced by Dick Sargent. And whether or not that that actually was a success has been highly debated for years. I, for one, never got used to the latter Dick. [gallery] As I was mulling this concept over this morning (yes, I really was), I realized I have the perfect way for 2 1/2 Men to solve this little storyline dilemma. Ashton Kutcher should play ad agency executive Darren Stevens who sublets Charlie Harper's beach house.  He moves in, only to find out that Charlie's brother Alan and his teenage son won't move out! Then it could be revealed that Berta (Charlie's housekeeper) is actually a witch who can cast magical spells by wiggling her nose. And Rose would move out of the house next door, and Gladys Kravitz (played by Sarah Silverman) would move in and she would be really really nosy...and would always witness strange things going on next door. I think it could work! Chuck Lorre are you listening??

Charlie Sheen didnt waste any time responding to news that on Two and a Half Men and not surprisingly is not impressed.Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer ... The man that put 500 million dollars in your pockets. Kutcher on the other hand is thrilled despite receiving a significantly lower offer than Sheen was receiving.Honestly were still not convinced this isnt just an elaborate set-up for the next season of Punkd. .......
